Mountain House
Val d'Aran, Pyrenees, Spain · 2025 – Q1 2027
Stone, lime and mountain light
A stone house rebuilt from the inside out, where lime, oak and firelight do all the decorating that is needed.
A private house in the mountains, conceived as a quiet counterpoint to the hospitality work of the studio. The existing stone envelope and timber structure were kept and repaired; everything added inside is deliberately calm: lime plaster, solid oak, raw stone and warm, low light.
The plan opens the ground floor towards the valley: a single living space where the fireplace, the dining table and the view are aligned. Bedrooms and bathrooms are treated as retreats, carved out in monolithic stone and plaster, with light washing the surfaces rather than illuminating the room.
Nothing in the house tries to look new. Materials were chosen for the way they will age, and for the way they hold the light of the mountain at each hour of the day.

and press.
Every project starts with a conversation about the place, the people who will use it and the way it should feel. We work from the first concept through to the last detail on site, in Dubai and internationally.
For editorial features we can provide project texts, plans and high-resolution photography, as well as interviews with the studio.
